With the recent interest I've had in AAPS clubs, I thought I would post a draft copy of the requirements for affiliation for comments. As I've previously stated, AAPS HQ is not interested in dictating how your club is run. You're free to have a loose collection of shooters or a more structured club with President, VP, Secretary, etc. Of course, AAPS reserves the right to change this policy should the need arise, but for the foreseeable future, that's the policy.
To be an AAPS affiliated club you must:
-Have an AAPS certified Range Officer.
-Have a minimum of 5 members (AAPS membership is NOT required, with the above exception.)
-Hold at least one (non-postal) match per quarter (Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter) with a minimum of 2 stages.
Simple isn't it?
Let's hear your comments!
