so from the threads i've read the practical shooting favorite are the hi-capa models because they have a wide range of upgrades, have a bigger gas reserve and hold more bb's in the magazine. i cant afford a western arms pistol, so im between a TM and WE hi-capa whats the difference? supposedly the tm's have a farther range, but eventually the plastic slide deforms. the WE supposedly does not have the best range like a TM but does come with a metal slide i dont have to replace eventually...what makes a TM worth buying...besides the name? both have the same compatibility parts, each have their pro's and cons, and each con can be fixed with upgrade parts...to me they both seem pretty even, and you're only really paying the extra cash for a TM for the name "Tokyo Marui" but from the people who own, upgrade, and tune their own pistols, what do you guys think? WE? or TM?

I can't speak on WE to much. I have a TM because of all the parts available. I'm not sure but I don't think all the parts are interchangable. I could be wrong. I know a friend was looking for parts and couldn't find them so she ended up sending the gun back to the place where she bought it and they fixed it.
